Sensory Suites and Prep Rooms

A recent addition to the centre, the food sensory suite, will allow food businesses to carry out sensory analysis on new products, recipe adjustments or comparative sessions with products on the market. With dedicated individual booths, food technologists and clients can gain valuable consumer evaluation on their products allowing them to adapt in real time. Using GDPR compliant specialist software, capable of creating bespoke consumer questionnaires, the software is compatible with other research institutions in Wales and globally too securely compare data.

Innovation Suite

Supported by a preparation kitchen, the suite is designed with the purpose of providing a suitable space for new product demonstrations to potential retailers. The client can showcase their product in our ‘shop window ‘and provide freshly prepared samples for buyers to taste. The room provides additional space for selected focus groups to discuss product concepts, category insights and carry out sensory analysis.
